In and out of the classroom, enrichment activities offer opportunities for hands-on learning in areas such as literacy, art, math & science. These are woven into our daily classroom learning as well as Chapel, Storytime, and Music.
Chapel
Chapel is a regular part of what we do at STMP. We meet in the Sanctuary upstairs for all students to participate together in a fun time of learning about God and singing engaging songs with our Missional Pastor, Jane Jebsen. We teach the foundational stories of our Christian faith in simple and age-appropriate ways. Check out our Activities & Events for Chapel dates.
Storytelling
Volunteers from our community visit us to tell stories through word, actions and props. Children love having guests in their classrooms and it’s beneficial for them to be told stories as they each bring stories to life with own personalities.
Music
Music is a hands-on experience where children get to play with a variety of instruments like shakers, bells, and waffle blocks. Singing, dancing or a daily poem is incorporated into group time each day.
Art
Students engage in a variety of art activities within their classrooms each day, where they get to explore their own creativity with the day’s art theme. Parents and visitors to STMP get to see art created by our students displayed in our hallways.
